Team Indian Skipper Virat Kohli spoke to the media and broke his silence on the recent controversy created by Hardik Pandya and KL Rahul on a talk show.
Reacting to the misogynistic comments made by Hardik Pandya and KL Rahul on Koffee with Karan, Virat Kohli addressed a media conference saying “We as the Indian cricket team and responsible cricketers don’t align with those views, those were individual opinions. We are still waiting for a decision to be made,”
Kohli further added “From the Indian cricket team’s point of view, this changes nothing in our beliefs in the change room, it does nothing to the spirit we have have been able to create. Combinations will have to be thought of once the decision comes out,”.
The BCCI has slammed the show-cause notice on Hardik Pandya and KL Rahul for their sexist comments on Karan Johar’s show. The COA chairman Vinod Rai has recommended a two-match ban on the duo but a decision on them will be announced today.
On Thursday, BCCI treasurer Anirudh Chowdary also called for an inquiry to find out whether or not the celebrity cricketers had sought permission from BCCI to appear on the TV show.
